We are a privately owned company. There is no outside fund behind us and no mandate to place capital by a given date, so we choose which businesses to work with and how long to stay in them.
The team is small and everyone in it has run a business. An owner who sends the first message speaks to the person who will do the work; there is no account manager in between, and no part of an engagement is handed to someone the owner has not met.
We hold to three commitments. We take no equity, no board seat, and no say in how an owner runs the company. We publish no client names and no case studies, because the numbers and contracts owners hand over are confidential. When a business does not need financing, management, or strategy from us, we say so on the first call rather than sending a proposal.
